Freddie Elizabeth Hart Obituary

NC - Freddie Elizabeth Hart, 95, of Brevard, NC, entered the presence of her Lord on July 14, 2026.

Born April 12, 1931, in Springfield, S.C., Freddie lived a life marked by faith, kindness, creativity and genuine love for others. She had a remarkable gift for making every person she met feel important. She found joy in family, friendships, her community and church, the beauty of the mountains she loved and more than 60 years creating copper enamel artwork. She especially loved walking the forest trails around Brevard, where she delighted in sharing the beauty of God's creation with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Billie Padgett Norris and Carl Hart and by her son, Kevin Stephen Norris.

She is survived by her son, Todd Norris and his wife, Cheryl, of Pittsboro, N.C.; her stepdaughter, Cindi O'Neill and her husband, Chris O'Neill; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating Freddie's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2026, at Brevard Davidson River Presbyterian Church.
